Comment & Win a Copy of Stay by A. Larkin

Thank You For Playing…

See Winners Below!

We received our copy of Stay by Allie Larkin a few weeks ago and finally just began reading the novel. The story is very nicely detailed and is setting up to be quite a fun and interesting read.

The author is a super animal lover that lives with two German Shepherds and a three-legged cat! YES – that’s Argo, her very own GS on the cover.

“I don’t know much about reading but the German Shepherd on the Cover looks kinda Hot! He keeps giving me THAT look!” } Halle

The publisher was kind enough to hook us up with 3 extra copies (thanks Ava) for our loyal HBD Readers! These are Hardcover editions which make them even sweeter.

Here’s How You Can WIN…

We’re looking to encourage comments and participation so we’ve tagged this a comment party. It’s actually very easy, all you have to do is leave 2 comments on HalleBalleDog according to the following guidelines:

1. Leave a first comment below on this page answering the following question in 35 words or less – “What’s Your Dog Thinking Right Now?”

2. Leave a second comment on any of the posts on HBD. You can visit our Archives Page and select any article that inspires you to share your thoughts.

3. Use the Same Name when leaving both Comments of course! :)

How Will We Choose?

We will randomly select 3 Winners and award each lucky participant one hardcover copy of “Stay by Allie Larkin” (See Simple Rules Below)

“Comments? That’s it? I usually have to do all kinds of Tricks to Win Rewards!” } Halle

Simple Rules

Ok, I’ll be the first (maybe that will get me a paw up!) to comment.

Have been watching HalleBalleDog evolve and it’s way cool. The perspective in many of your articles is so “real life” advice and I enjoy it when I see a new article for HalleBalle arrive!

Keep Waggin that stub Gray Dog! From one Weimer family to another :)

Oh my.. read the rules girl… what is my dog thinking right now….

Zelda says,

“Shut the computer off already… Emmy (Lab-sister) is on an adventure w/ dad, which means tons of space to lay on my back, four paws up and roll around on the bed w/ mom!”

Great idea for a contest and to drive up blog traffic! Found you via Allie’s link on Twitter!

My dog is thinking “Why do I not exist?”
Sorry, I don’t have any pets, but I wanted to participate so I could read this book.

You DON’T have to have a dog to be eligible, we’re loving the creative posts… as long as you post twice according to the rules, you’ve got a fair shot!!!

All that matters is that you LOVE dogs! :)

My dog is thinking, “I hope no one notices all this fur on the couches I’m not supposed to be laying on. Oh, and I hope they are bringing home some treats.”

LolaBelle, (our sweet girl Golden Retriever): “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Mommy & Daddy! I just LOVE that you had a big hole full of water put smack dab in the middle of our Arizona (translation: H-O-T!)backyard, just for ME!!!” **SPLASH** “Ahhh, this is the life! Scarlett looked at me this afternoon when my 6-year-old son ran upstairs to see his new kitten and I swear her eyes said: “Why is he upstairs playing with that kitten? I thought he was _my_ boy!”

AKA @Terp12 – My Schnoodle Wally had a fibrocartilaginous embolism in his neck a few months ago. He is only five years old. His right legs were nearly completely paralyzed for about a week. He has had no surgery, no therapy, and no medications. He is now running, jumping, playing and very happy. He still drags his right front paw when he walks and has a little limp, but has improved beyond our hopes. Unfortunately, we have to push him in a stroller when we take him for walks because he drags his paw and gets a sore, but he still loves to go. The vet says this is probably as good as he will ever be, which is fine with Wally and I.

I have been following HalleBalleDog for over a year maybe even two. I love your information about dogs, and all of the fabulous articles on your site. Do you have any about caring for disabled pets? Luckily for us Wally is able to lead a very normal life, but our brush with paralyzation made me realize how many families deal with disabled pets.

Well, my dog is thinking “where are you?” right now. I just moved away for school and he will be missing me very much. He’ll need to find someone else to cuddle with at night.

I just ordered the plant enzymes and probiotics formula from animal essentials. My Abagayle (white shepherd) suffers from yeast allergies (ears, eyes, personal parts) Ive been giving her yogurt(3Tbls.) and acidophilus pills(4capsules) I open the capsules and add to the yogurt. Question is: Should i continue with this and the enzymes and probiotics or should i stop the yogurt and acidophilus and only do the enzymes and probiotics?
