I've always fed my dogs a high quality diet, though I will admit in the past I've made the mistake of believing a companies' statements and not finding out the real mixture. Its certainly a research project and articles like yours make is soooo much easier for people to be in the know. We supplement our dog's diets with healthy natural foods. I think it's a great way to stretch the budget since it can be made of up of good wholesome food we we eat in our own diet. I think about it like this when it comes to my dog's diet. Food does effect how you feel, how you act, and long term health. Recently moving to Hawaii I've changed my diet eat fresh vegetables and fruit, grass fed beef and hormone free eggs. Cutting out the wheat, sugar and so much processed has changed everything!! I feel like a whole new person! I have to think that a wholesome diet change for dogs will do the same.
